The main annual economic summit of Russia and the CIS countries, «Russian Davos». It is spent in St.-Petersburg in June since 1997. The forum passes in a kind of plenary sessions, round tables, exhibitions, presentations of investment projects, business meetings and negotiations in which presidents, chairmen of the governments and parliaments of the various states of the world, head and representatives of the international organizations, and also businessmen, experts, scientists and public figures participate. In forum work in 2005 participated about 3 thousand persons from 64 countries of the world. To 2006 forum it was spent by Inter-parliamentary assembly of the states-participants CIS and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, since 2006, according to the order of the President of the Russian Federation, the organizer of a forum is the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation.
